Rose coloured monoclinic crystal, relative density 2.01, melting point 58°C, soluble in water, soluble in alcohol, insoluble in ether. Absorbent, easily deliquescent, loses one molecule of crystalline water at 106℃, loses all crystalline water at 198℃ and becomes anhydrous.

Uses.

Used as organic chlorination catalyst, paint drying agent and gasoline anti-shock agent raw material. Used as feed auxiliary, analytical reagent, dye and pigment manufacturing. Magnesium alloy, aluminum alloy smelting, brown and black masonry production, as well as pharmaceutical and dry cell manufacturing. It is also used in agriculture as a trace element fertiliser.
