Structural classification of organic pigments -4, chromophore AS series pigments

Chromophore AS series pigments refer to pigments with chromophore AS and its derivatives AS coupling components in pigment molecules. These pigments are slightly more difficult to produce than ordinary monoazo pigments and are available in yellow, orange, red, violet, magenta, brown and purple. They have average fastness to light, solvent resistance and migration resistance, and are mainly used in printing inks and paints. Typical varieties are permanent red FR(C.I. Pigment red 2)

Pigment red 112 C.I.

C.I. Pigment red 112 is a very bright positive red color. It is mainly used for preparing printing inks, offset printing inks, packaging intaglio printing inks and flexible printing inks. In the ink, its coloring power is very strong, for example, the preparation of 1/1 standard color depth of printing ink only 17% of the pigment.

Pigment red 112 in ink thermal stability is poor, only 140℃.

The pigment red 112 is very fast to the sun in textiles and retains its color when dried directly at 150 ~ 180℃. But not resistant to tetrachloroethylene dry cleaning agent.

Pigment red 112 can not be used for PVC material printing, otherwise it will cause color infiltration.

When used in coatings, the pigment red 112 is the most outstanding representative variety in this series of pigments. It can be used not only for air - dry paint, but also for baking enamel. It will not frost when used under proper processing conditions.

In the paint, pigment red 112 has excellent fastness to light and to weather, even when titanium dioxide is added. Full - color air - dry paint products have a fastness to the sun of 8.

Pigment red 112 is also often mixed with Burgundy pigment red 12, because of their similar application performance, so can broaden the product chromatography.

One of the special applications of the pigment red 112 is to modulate electrophoretic paints. The pigment RED 112 IS ALSO USED TO prepare latex paint, but if the latex paint is used in outdoor situations, its fastness is not enough.

Pigment red 112 can also be used for hard polyvinyl chloride coloring, transparent products (containing 0.1% pigment) the fastness to the light of 8, but the addition of titanium dioxide products after the fastness to the light of only 5 ~ 6.

In the spinning industry, the pigment red 112 IS USED TO colour stock solutions of elastic rayon and viscose fibers. The resulting products have excellent fastness to the sun, and their application properties are satisfactory, if not perfect.

C.I. Pigment red 170

The pigment red 170 is positively red with a bluish tinge in some substrates.

The pigment red 170 is homogenous and polycrystalline.

The pigment red 170 in commercial form comes in two crystalline forms, the difference being the difference in transparency.

Transparent varieties are tinged with blue light, while highly opaque varieties are more stable in various solvents than transparent varieties. Even the transparent varieties are fairly solvent tolerant and are very stable in alcohols, esters, xylene, and other solvents.

Pigment RED 170 is suitable for high grade industrial paints, such as tool paints, instrument paints, agricultural machinery paints and AUTOMOTIVE PAINTS. The high - shade variety is especially suitable for use as automotive and repair paints.

The high COVERING pigment RED 170 also has very good fluidity in the paint, which enables it to increase the hiding power of the product by increasing the concentration of the pigment, without affecting its luster.

The transparent variety is very strong when used for printing inks. Preparation of 1/1 standard color depth of printing ink, only add 15% pigment, and the product fastness to the sun is good.

The thermal stability of the pigment red 170 in the ink is also very good, it can tolerate 10min at 200℃, 30min at 180℃, so it is very suitable for modulation of metal decoration printing ink.

The pigment red 170 is also used to modulate decorative printing inks for MYlar films and is very stable in styrene monomers.

Pigment red 170 is very suitable for hard polyvinyl chloride coloring; In soft polyvinyl chloride the pigment is very light - resistant, but it will bleed. Pigment red 170 can not be used for light color soft polyvinyl chloride products.
